A major part of my connected community
plan for Leander:
Activate the WELCOME NEIGHBOR! Town Hall -
a meet 'n greet event that I created and set up for the community at the Leander Library in
February 2007. I would like for us to host one at least quarterly - if not once a month. The purpose is to give citizens,
who are new and not-so-new, the opportunity to hear directly from organizations, city service personnel, and others about
breaking news, activities, and potentially new groups or opportunities to participate in and be aware of in
Leander. The original event was sponsored that evening by our then newest neighbor, HEB Plus.
